ORL
ORL means Otorhinolaryngology, it is a branch of medicine specialized in the treatment of disorders of the ear, nose and throat.
It is one of the medico-surgical specialties. This means that the organ can be treated with medication as well as with surgery.
The ORL is empowered to establish diagnoses and to implement drug and surgical treatments. It can also plan reeducation sessions, and offer prosthetic devices.
The center takes care of all pathologies related to the nose, sinus, voice, snoring and sleep apnea, hearing disorders.
Any other medical and surgical treatment of conditions affecting the ORL sphere, in particular certain border regions common to other specialties (for example, pathologies of the lacrimal passages in collaboration with the ophthalmology department, conditions of the base of the skull in collaboration with the department neurosurgery, neuro-ENT ailments in collaboration with the neurology department, etc.) will be taken care by the Adolphe de Rothschild Ophthalmological Foundation Hospital.
